.:: What is Mechaworx? ::.

Mechaworx is a web site designed by a toy enthusiast for toy enthusiasts. Mechaworx is designed to bring toy retailers, toy manufacturers, toy designers, toy fans and toy collectors together under one web site.

Mechaworx is divided into several different sections:

Toy News

If you are a Toy Retailer, Toy Manufacturer, Toy Information/Fan Site, Toy Convention Promoter you can post news in regards to new and upcoming toy products or let our readers know when you have new products for order and preorder. Fan sites that have character bios and other info that make up the individual toy lines can direct our readers to site updates that correspond to any toy line we have in the database or news section. Most toylines usually have a corresponding cartoon or anime-related storyline and there are a lot of information sites out there. Take advantage of this to get the word out about your web site.

Toy Database

We are trying to build the biggest online toy database. The database is designed to list popular toy lines and also to supply information to our readers to various resources online of where to purchase these toys or direct them to a fan site to learn more information. In order to make the database grow, retailers are invited to create and add to existing toy lines then link to that toyline to direct our readers to your web site to purchase these toys. The more product that gets added to our database, the more exposure for your web site and the bigger the database will grow.

Toy Links

While this page is still under construction the links page will be broken down in various sections for everyone who has a site involved with toys may use this page to add their link.

Toy Reviews

Mechaworx posts reviews on new and vintage toys on a regular basis. We also accept product donations from Toy Retailers and Toy Manufacturers who want to get the word out about their products and direct our readers to purchase these toy products. We will write the review for you. You can do the same by either submitting your own review and linking to it or provide us with the article and pictures and we will format it and upload it for you. Everyone is invited to link to any review on our web site just as long as it relates to that review.

Toy Forums

Our forums is another Marketing Tool for you. Feel free to post anything in regards to toys and link back to your web site to direct the readers of our toy forums to your web page. The more people who contribute, the faster it will grow. We are always looking for moderators and and suggestions for additional toy forums.

Gerry founded Robozone.com in 1995 and ran the business for 6 years. Under Gerry's direction Robozone.com grew to have customers in all 50 United States and over 30 countries world-wide. While under Gerry's direction Robozone was featured in many Toy news magazines, News articles in the New York Post and the Lowell Sun and was also a featured news story on the New England Cable News Network.

.:: Mission Statement ::.

To build the most comprehensive online toy database...One toy at a time.

The above is our slogan and our goal. Gerry has amassed virtually thousands of toy images in hundreds upon hundreds of toy lines and intends to provide them to you the toy collector for information purposes through our toy database section.

However, this is a huge undertaking and he really could use some help. We want to build the biggest network of toy information on the internet and he knows that despite the thousands of toy images he already has in the database and still on his computer that need to be entered, there are still thousands of toys that get produced every year. Thus, our goal may seem to be a huge undertaking. Hopefully with other toy collectors and enthusiasts involved we hope to at least make a dent. We'd at least like to get the popular toys in there.

Mechaworx will provide you with information on where to obtain these toys by allowing toy retailers, toy fan sites and others to post links, whether it be text or banner at no charge and directly target those readers who are interested in a particular toy line. You want even more exposure? Then write a review. Heck don't have time? Give your toys to us and we'll review them for you. We're collectors here and we'll glady keep them. :)

Don't see a toy line listed in our toy database and you have information and images? Are you a retailer or a fan of a toy line that we don't have and want some exposure? Then enter them into our database and directly target other enthusiasts to go directly to your web site to learn in-depth information or to purchase them.

To get the word out about your toy company or toy web site.

Let's face it. We all don't have huge sums of cash to throw in our advertising coffers or whole marketing departments at our disposal. It's hard to compete with the big boys especially if you're just starting out, thus the creation of this web site. Mechaworx is designed as a marketing tool for your use. The more you add to this web site, whether it's news, toy reviews or adding toys to our ever growing online toy database you create your own opportunities to increase your exposure by linking your company's web site to any information you provide, in real time.

To give toy collectors a viable alternative to Ebay when purchasing collectible toys items.

We want to supply you, the collector with news and information in regards to toys you are actually interested in. Whether it's action figures, robot toys, Star Wars or some other toy line. Our goal is to provide you with a network of retailers and other toy collectors all under one web site.

.:: Why Mechaworx? ::.

Our Toy Demographic

Mechaworx' target market are toy enthusiasts between the ages of 15 and 40 with the majority of our readers between the ages of 25 - 40. The toy industry is a 30.6 Billion dollar a year industry with our readers between the ages of 25-40 making up the majority of that 30.6 billion dollars. This unique age bracket makes up some of the serious hard-core collectors as well as parents of the same age who are looking for unique gift ideas for their children or want to re-experience their own childhoods again.

A message to toy retailers.

Retailers, are you sick of ebay? Let's face it, like I always like to say, they're the "Walmart" of the internet. They don't care whether you make money or not to cover your expenses. All they care about is their bottom line really. Are you sick of loosing money for toys that don't even sell for what you paid for? Especially if you import them from other countries? The shipping costs alone are horrendous. What about Ebay's ever-increasing fees? That's more money taken out of your pocket and put into theirs and the end result is, chances are you never even made back what you put out for the item in the first place. If you have a web site, they don't allow you to advertise your site except in your "About Me" page. Oh, you can have an online ebay store, but what good is that? No one ever looks at it and it's just an additional fee?

A message to toy collectors.

Collectors, are you sick and tired of fighting others for your toys in the form of a bidding war on ebay? What about remembering to monitor an auction that you've bid only to loose in the last 10 seconds because someone sniped your bid? What about all the shill bidding and reserves for items that never get met? To us, that's not what toy collecting is about. I'll bet you get caught up in the frenzy of bidding just so the other guys don't get the toy and you end up paying a lot more than what you really wanted to pay. Come on, we've all done it.

Everyone thinks that ebay is a good guide for what toys are really worth. Let's face it we hate the "I can get more for it on ebay" mentality. Especially from the ebay sellers who think they have something that's worth gold but really don't know anything about what they are selling. They usually find out about the toy from some knowledgeable collector. Share your knowledge here and get recognized for it.

While the site is relatively new, with Gerry's sound marketing strategy and knowledge of online marketing in the form of search engine optimization, linking strategy and over 10 years experience in the toy industry together we can get the word out about you and your company and help you realize your goals.
