05/11/07 - Magicicada Chimneys Reported in Ohio!!

My friend Roy Troutman has just filled in the form with information regarding Magicicada mud turrets at his parent's home in Loveland, Ohio. The report can be found in the new cicada sightings for this year. Click here for the details!

This is strange because all the distribution data I have for Brood XIII does not show Ohio for that Brood. Maybe Roy can shed some light on this. Stay posted.

Update:

These are indeed Brood XIV Magicicada early risers according to Roy Troutman. So to repeat, this sighting is for an early emergence of Brood XIV and NOT Brood XIII
