About Me

I would describe myself as the type of person who has vast experience in multiple business disciplines. Whenever I find something new that is interesting to me, I won't let go until I learn everything there is to know about that subject. They say that people can be classified into two categories, left brained or right brained dominant. However, I don't think I am relegated to one of these categories but rather I'm a little bit of both!

I get a great sense of satisfaction and feeling of accomplishment when reaching a project's completion. Its this insatiable drive to learn new things and an entrepreneurial spirit that has taken me on the "scenic path" as I travel down the road of life.

You're probably wondering about the crazy layout of these portfolio pages? Again, this is due to one of my passions of interest which are insects known as the "Cicada". I have been interested in cicadas since I was 10 years old and find them extremely fascinating. Since 2004, I have even taken the study of cicadas to new heights.

I recently published a paper for the American Entomological Society with two more publications in draft form as well as making a name for myself concerning the study of these insects. You can also guess from the photography section of my portfolio that photography, especially macro-photography is turning into another passion of mine because of these insects.

Work History

Currently I am under contract working for Staples at their corporate headquarters in Framingham, Ma. I am a front-end web developer developing an inward-facing web site for Staples' world-wide employees which will consist of approximately 100,000 users.

Before that from 2005 to 2008, I worked for a company known as Workplace Personnel Management as the Marketing and Management Coordinator. For two-and-a-half years, I developed state-of-the art marketing campaigns for both online and print media. This involved developing 5 separate web sites along with marketing and trade-show collateral as well as magazine ads for publication. In addition I was the head product developer for new and existing products along with being a technical writer writing installation manuals and White papers.

From 2003 to present I also am a business owner who designed and developed an online marketing business to include a web site known as Mechaworx.com which markets news and information with regards to the toy industry.

Prior to that from 1996 to 2002, I started a business known as Robozone.com which specialized in the imporation of Japanese Robot toys and discontinued toy items and sold them in the United States and around the world. When I sold the business in 2002 to the new owners, Robozone experienced exponential growth and fortunately, I got out just at the right time because I saw a trend happening and that unfortunate trend was EBAY, the "Walmart" of the internet!

From 1988 to 1998 I worked for a British-based company known as Oxford Instruments. I worked out of a sales and service office traveling extensively across America, Canada and Mexico installing Superconducting Magnet Systems at Colleges, Universities, Pharmaceutical Companies and other research facilities.

This porfolio will probably always be a work in progress as it is very difficult to choose specific projects and believe me, there are many that I have been involved with, to feature in this portfolio.
