The Mechaworx.com control panel is the secure portion of the Mechaworx web site. What is entered here - through the use of forms, is inserted into the database for later retrieval. This section of the web site was completely designed from the ground up and took over a year to develop.
It powers the front end of the web site. It is designed for users, once registered, to access the control panel and add their information.
The control panel is broken down into several sections, a section for banner placement and upload, a section for toy news broken down by category, a section for toy reviews and several others.
Two levels of users have access to the control panel, a general user and an administrative user. Depending upon what security level will dictate which types of controls a user has access to. The control panel also uses session variables in order to keep track of a user's most recent updates to the web site and in what sections and categories. There are even tools incorporated into the control panel for fixing any mistakes.
Finally, the control panel has integrated help and tutorial sections just in case a user needs easy-to-understand help with filling out any of the forms. All they have to do is click on the "Schmedly" icon for instant pop-up help.
